Violin & Piano Duo


Kimia Ghaderi and Andrew Focks began their collaborative partnership in 2012, then based in Houston, Texas. The duo made their European debut in 2012, performing in Italy and Austria. Currently based in Cleveland, Ohio, they give recitals around the country which are unique for their versatile programming and engaging interaction with audiences.

The duo performs frequently throughout Northeast Ohio for the ArtsConnect Series of the Cleveland International Piano Competition, and has also given recitals at numerous venues including Interlochen Center for the Arts (MI), Mixon Hall of the Cleveland Institute of Music (OH), Baldwin Wallace University (OH), Morgan Hill Presbyterian Church (CA), Swampscott First Congregational recital series (MA), Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church (TX), Auditorium Marianum (Italy), and Salzburg Baroque Museum (Austria).

The duo performs a diverse and exciting repertoire ranging from the great classical masterpieces, popular music and theater genres as well as their own arrangements, transcriptions and improvisations. The duo also gives masterclasses and presentations at music schools and classrooms.
